House Cleaning Challenge

8 Jan

I’ve previously written about moving into a new house right before we had the baby.  I brought my baby home to a mess and it has continued to spiral out of control, SERIOUSLY!  B doesn’t feel like he needs to pick things up because the house is already a wreck, I’m one handed 90% of the day because Tiffany hates to be put down meaning I’m facing a very overwhelming battle!  But today I have decided NO MORE!  This house will get organized!!  I will be taking on one area of the house every week.  During that week I will deep clean, organize, and set up some sort of plan too keep it that way.  I would love to have others join me and link up so we can share ideas and discuss what is or isn’t working.  This week I will start with the entry of our house.  Stay tuned for what I come up with.

Healing Newton

17 Dec

My heart was so heavy upon hearing the news of Sandy Hook.  All day I got a knot in my throat thinking about my daughter and how someone put in so much work and love and sleepless nights, and now they no longer have that sweet little thing to read stories to or kiss goodnight.  Then I saw the photos of these beautiful children and I can’t begin to process anything other than holding my baby as tears roll down my face.

Because of this tragedy we have decided to donate 10% of our sales to heal Newton, Ct and 10% of our sales to mental health in an effort to prevent this from ever occurring again.  We will also be sending out small green memorial pins to everyone who donates $5 through our Etsy shop.

I’m a ZombShell

15 Oct

At this actual moment, while my 1 week old is taking a nap, I am much more Zomb and much less Shell than I was 6 months ago.  But here is a preview of my feature in ZombShells 2013 Zombie Calendar.  My fiance sculpted the heart AND was still painting it in the car as we drove down for this shoot.  I’d say he did a pretty spectacular job.  It is always amazing to me watching him create something from a block of clay.  If you need any custom props or sculptures you can send us a private message on the BraggAbout Creations Facebook or Etsy page

Thankful Thursday: WE GOT FEATURED

12 Oct

I am so thankful to announce that BraggAbout Creations will be featured in the ZombShells 2013 Calendar scheduled to come out at the end of this month.  I’ll post a picture of me as a Zombie as soon as I get it.  I have the most AMAZING fiance that is able to make such cool stuff like crazy eye balls.  Which reminds me tomorrow I should probably add some of his clay work to the shop.

By the way the shoot for this calendar was how we announced our pregnancy.  Can you believe I was 3 months pregnant in this photo?!  During the shoot B kept telling me to “suck the baby in.”  That was such a fun time being able to FINALLY say that we were pregnant after having two losses.  I am SO THANKFUL that our little bundle is here now.  I can’t stop staring at her.

Feel free to join me over at Mustache Mama‘s blog for Thankful Thursday!
